With over a decade of experience at international organizations, multinational companies, and global PR agencies, Trevor Charles Gowan has worked for the United Nations, UNICEF, Ford Motor Company, Bose, WPP, the NRDC, and more.

He’s advised C-suite executives on cutting-edge marketing campaigns and corporate communications, directed social strategy for a Fortune 50 company, secured millions in new business for agencies, led media relations for an iconic audio brand’s award-winning product launch, and collaborated with class-leading creative agencies to orchestrate high-level events around the world.

Trevor worked with stakeholders across the United Nations to engage global youth in the launch of the Sustainable Development Goals and signing of the Paris Agreement, directed multilingual communications campaigns focused on human rights, climate action, education, and peacebuilding, and managed global storytelling for an all-new $1 billion public-private partnership led by UNICEF.

A graduate of the London School of Economics & Political Science (MSc), Columbia University (MA), and SUNY Albany (BA), Trevor is also a writer, editor, researcher, and historian who has authored internal reports for the United Nations, led archival research examining Columbia’s relationship to slavery and abolition, fact-checked editorial projects supported by the Redford Center, and contributed original research to award-winning podcasts investigating the intersection of environmental history, foreign policy, fossil fuel companies, and the climate crisis.
